With Halloween about to officially kick off the holiday season, I get to write about one of my favorite topics: food. Specifically, having a positive and healthy relationship with food.

Food is not bad and exercise is not punishment.
Holiday eating can stress out a lot of people. You may be looking for tips for how to eat healthy during the holidays. I have something to offer that I hope helps keep it simple and uncomplicated: eat and enjoy it.
This year, I encourage you not to worry about what food is healthy or how to eat healthy, but rather how to keep your mindset around food – and its relationship to exercise – healthy.
Take Halloween, for example. If you want to eat a piece of Halloween candy – or 10, no judgment – do it. And enjoy it.
You do not need to burn it off. There is no amount of running or burpees or any exercise, period, required of you to eat that piece of Halloween candy.
Food is not bad and exercise is not punishment. Please remember this and hold it close, especially during the holiday season!
That’s enough for now. Until next time,
Lindsay
